A field app should not force staff to reconstruct context on site. The mobile experience gathers authorized information for the assignment and clearly distinguishes prepared offline work from exchanges that need a connection.
Review the schedule and instructions, then prepare authorized routes, forms and documents. The app should identify offline content and the device permissions it needs.
Complete patrol checkpoints using NFC or QR, answer inspection questions and document observations. Photos and notes are linked to the relevant site, asset, report or checkpoint.
Prepared essential field workflows retain drafts, scans and media locally. Staff should see what is saved, provisional or pending rather than assuming a message has been received.
Synchronization sends events and shows their outcome. Retries must not create duplicates; conflicts and rejected validations remain explicit for correction or review.
The employee downloads the route before going downstairs, completes scans and observations without coverage, then checks synchronization on returning upstairs. The supervisor can then review received events and their capture times.
Check assignment completeness and items still awaiting transmission. Continuity must remain understandable to both field staff and supervisors.
iOS/Android and NFC compatibility must be validated on selected devices. Offline operation does not guarantee emergency alert delivery or schedule updates. Continuous GPS collection is excluded.
